More pictures of the displayed miniatures are to be found in the gallery section of my Pattaya homepage.
Mini Siam is located on Km 143 at Sukhumvit Highway to Rayong just opposite of Bangkok Pattaya Hospital. It is easily recognised by the huge statues right at the edge of the road. Coming from North Pattaya Road turn left onto Sukhunvit Highway towards Bangkok and drive past Bangkok Pattaya Hospital to the next U-turn then back to Mini Siam. Wat Phra Kaeo, the Tempel of the Emerald Buddha in the Thai section of Mini Siam
When I first visited this place in 1990 there were "only" miniatures from within Thailand on display. Those were the days Mini Siam got its name from. Nowadays they have two sections (about equal in size) in total an area of about 29 rai. The original Thai section is still there at the rear and the world section - some call it Mini Europe, because many of the miniatures are located there - right at the entrance showing attractions from all continents.
Most impressive and one of the masterpieces is the Cathedral of Cologn / Germany. Another German landmark at Mini Siam is the fairytale Castle of Neuschwanstein.
The most famous tourist attraction of Paris / France you find straight ahead from the entrance: Arc de Triomphe, Eifel Tower and Castle Chaillot. Next to the Atomium / Brussels (Belgium) stands Miss Liberty the world wide wellknown statue at the harbour of New York / USA.
In the Thai section there are many tempels from all over Thailand on display. Such as Wat Phra Kaeo and Wat Arun in Bangkok. But also the ancient temples of Ayutthaya and Sukhotai are shown.

General Information: Opening Hours: The Park Mini Siam is open daily from early morning 07:00 am through late night 10:00 pm. After nightfall the illuminiated miniature buildings and monuments show their very own special charm. Entrance Fees: Unfortunately the management of Mini Siam sees the foreigners still as milchers which can be milked easily to boost the company's income! Thus the entrance fees are set at Baht 250.00 for foreigners and Baht 100.00 for Thai citizens. For children (4 to 10 years) the entrance fees are set at Baht 120.00 for foreigners and Baht 50.00 for Thai citizens. There is only cash accepted! Address: Arts Crafts and Thai Culture (1988) Co.Ltd., 387 M.6 Sukhumvit Highway, A. Bang Lamung, 20150 Pattaya City, Chonburi / Thailand is the official postal address of the com-pany which runs Mini Siam. Contact: Mini Siam may be reached by telephone at the numbers +66 (0)38 727'333 and +66 (0)38 727'666 as well at +66 (0)38 421'555 by fax. Their presence at the internet is found at URL http://www.minisiam.net/. Emails may be sent to webmaster@minisiam.net. Catering: For the single individual visitor they do not provide any possibility to get some food. At all of the three restaurant like facilities only junkfood-snacks and drinks are avai-lable. Both restaurants, CK Suki and Siam Suki, are aimed at group tour visitors and serve exactly one dish: Suki, as their names already suggested. |
