Front view of Malaysia Hotel Bangkok

The Malaysia Hotel is located in the Sathorn area of Bangkok in Soi Ngam Duplee near the junction of Rama 4 Road with Sathorn Road and Wireless Road, which is the southeasat corner of Lumpini Park (see map). During the high season booking in advance is highly recommended especially for the weekend and public holidays, since often the hotel is fully booked.

The hotel is straight but very gayfriendly. There is no problem to take your friend upstairs to your room, although your friend may be asked to leave his ID card at the reception, if he has not checked in the hotel with you.

Lobby and reception The reception is occupied 24 hours. There are free safety deposit boxes available. You have to pay a deposit for the key (in case of losing it) of Baht 500.-. International phone and fax service is also available at the reception. In the lobby are card phones for international and local calls, tour desks and facilities to enjoy a traditional Thai massage available. They will even store your luggage for a small daily fee, if you do not want to take it with you on some trips away from the hotel. In the lobby they provide two public PC's with internet connection.

Coffee Shop of the hotel The hotel's coffeeshop is on the groundfloor, just next to the reception. Thai and international dishes are served around the clock, along with any kind of drinks you like. Breakfast is available throughout the day at Baht 55.- (continental) and Baht 85.- (american). Set lunches are Baht 150.- and set dinners Baht 190.-

Gayflag There are always some freelancer boys to be found in the coffee shop waiting being picked up by some Farangs. Not all of them are money boys, although some certainly are. Most of them you will meet again at nighttime in the pubs of Silom Soi 4.
Usually they are unemployed. They surely will entertain you, and in return they expect some support of some kind as long as you stay together with one of them. Remember: after you left, they are still there, having a room to pay for, they need food and clothing. To live and look good is not cheap at all in Bangkok. Treat them with respect, and most likely they will give you an unforgetable time.

At the swimming pool you may roast yourself in the sun together with your friend or ...

The fully airconditioned rooms (individually contolled) are well equipped and clean. All rooms have private bathrooms with western style toilet and bathtub. There are twin and double rooms available usually with one french sized bed and one normal sized bed. A minibar, direct dial phone and a remote contolled TV (big screen) complete the amenities. The following TV programs are provided: CNN, CNBC, TV5 France, Australia TV, Moviechannel HBO Asia, MTV and the Thai channels 3, 5, 7, 9, 11 and ITV.
All the dishes served in the coffee shop, you can also order through the roomservice to be brought to your room at a surcharge of 10%.
